Education - Higher Education and Internships
Internships
Many students have gained practical experience in coastal
research, education and outreach through Sea Grant sponsored internships.
Most interns are paid and some students earn college credit.
All of our interns gain professional experience to help launch their
careers. In the Erie office, our largest need is for assistance with
teaching and research in the summer, however, some interns work during
the spring and fall semesters. For more information, contact Sean
Rafferty in
the Erie office. In the Delaware Estuary region, contact Ann
Faulds.
Graduate & Undergraduate Coursework
The Regional Science Consortium at
the Tom Ridge Environmental Center is an organization dedicated to coordinating
educational and research opportunities for the Lake Erie and the upper
Ohio River basins. The consortium offers a number of lab
and field courses taught by nationally recognized instructors.
Participants can obtain course credit from a number of
Consortium colleges.
